What is Verb?
What is Verb?:- A verb is a word that shows an action, state, or possession.
Example:- Eat,Drink,Play,Go,Come,Jump,Sell,Live,Etc.
There are two types of verbs.
- Main Verb Or Principal Verb Or Full Verb
- Helping Verb Or Auxiliary Verb
1.Main Verb:- The verb which reveals the complete meaning in itself is called Main Verb.
Example:- Reading, Writing, Crying, Laughing, Do, etc.
2.Helping Verb:- A helping verb is one that helps the main verb to form a tense, voice, mood, Etc.
Example:- Is,Am,Are,Can,Could,Etc.
There are two types of main verbs.
1.Transitive Verb
2.Intransitive Verb
1.Transitive Verb:– The verb used with an object is called a transitive verb.
Example:-
I eat a mango.
I read this book.
They help us.
I like to read pen.
2.Intransitive Verb:- The verb used without an object is called an Intransitive verb.
Example:-
I eat.
I’m laughing.
We go to school.
He runs fast.
There are two types of Helping Verbs
1.Primary Auxiliary Verb
2.Modals.
1.Primary Auxiliary Verb:- The verb from which the word is used only to form a sentence. It is called Primary Auxiliary Verb.
Like:- is, am, are, was, were, do, does, have, has had, did, etc.
2.Modals:– A word that is used as both the main verb or a helping verb is called a modal.

V3 is the third form of the verb. That is the Past Participle Form. Past Participle form is formed by adding d, ed, en to V1 or by changing Vowel. It is used in both singular and plural forms. It is also called the -en form of the verb.

V4 is the fourth form of the verb. V4 is called the Present Participle Form.
